DVD NeXt Copy:: Fraud, Issues, and Bugs DVD NeXt Copy After the collapse of 321 Studios and the fall of their once mighty DVD X Copy, I decided to try a new client that was rising to fame. DVD NeXt Copy looked like a promising alternative, and I continued to support the company as new versions were released. I even owned ultimate edition. There were some small issues in each release that prevented DVD NeXt Copy from reaching its full potential. For example, DVDs burned with DVD NeXt Copy do not fastforward or rewind properly, DVD Next Copy cannot make a proper image of a simple ISO, and DVD NeXt Copy's main support is an utter joke who is now refusing to refund me for my troubles. Despite my complaining, DVD Next Copy's support gave me a cold shoulder.
The programmers of DVD Next Copy steal from their customers while providing a mediocre burning program that is filled with issues. DVD Next Copy's support is a joke; avoid the program at all costs. - Tried to activate DVD neXt Copy and was informed that I had exceeeded the two activations (that's right JUST TWO!). Sent four emails to Tech Support, was assigned Ticket #17693, and other than a canned response that did not address my problem, have not heard the company in the last four days.
They refused to acknowledge the problems in their program, and the updates never fixed anything. My support tickets were even deleted, as support no longer wanted to deal with me, and when they did, all they ever said was 'I'm sorry we could not get this product to work for you'.
Sorry isn't good enough. I wanted a fix, and I never got it, and now I have no access to the program or to the keys I purchased, and I have not received a single cent back from my investment. Lame Support After dealing with DVD Next Copy's main support, I decided to venture on over to their user forum. Unfortunately, I received no help there, as many of the forum moderators acted as if no problems existed within DVD Next Copy, which is entirely far from the case. In fact, my thread was locked.
The reason: 'This thread has been closed as the original poster has already been given a refund by DNC DVD Next Copy due to the problems he/she is experiencing'. Obviously, they don't care if you experience problems. Just get lost if you have an issue because they will not help you. As I had mentioned once in the thread, DVD Next Copy had stated they were going to refund my keys, but when I looked at my bank statements, I never received such a refund. Too bad the moderators can't read a lick of English. The Evidence Unfortunately, I was never able to save a copy of my support ticket, and now that it has been deleted without my consent, I cannot post the dialogue between me and DVD Next Copy's terrible support.
However, I did manage to grab a copy of my thread that was locked before being banned on their forums. To be downloaded if the thread has been deleted. If the documents fail to load properly, due to errors in another program Word Perfect Office X4 (sigh, I can't win), please just open the rtf file in the archive.

You can use DVD neXt COPY to make a backup copy of personally authored DVDs or non protected movies. Many commercial movies are protected. Not all movies are protected. Unfortunately, current interpretation of laws in some countries, including the US, prohibits distribution of software that has the ability to copy commerical movies. In order to backup DVD movies which are protected, an additional file is required. May people live outside the United States, and the laws in other countries are not the same as those in the U.S. If you live in a country where you are allowed to freely use available DVD software you can download this plugin and and use it for purposes permitted in your country.
If you live in the United States, please understand that the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) passed in 1998 does not expressly prohibit consumers from making backup copies of digital works - only the sale & distribution of tools that circumvent copy prevention technologies.
