Ella and Micha.

Two very best friends, lovers, soul mates. Their story concludes in a beautiful way with The Ever After of Ella and Micha Ella and Micha are finally doing it. They are finally tying the knot. After everything this couple has been through, they deserve some real and true happiness together.

Ella’s past has been rocky. Thankfully she has always had Micha by her side. No matter what she was going through, he was her rock. The one person who was always there for her.

When she felt she had nothing and no one, Micha was by her side. “Just so you know, you were the one who didn’t let me drown. If it wasn’t for you, I probably would have given up. And I’m glad you didn’t let me.”
With the wedding quickly approaching, Micha worries Ella will get cold feet.

She is adamantly nervous, but not about marrying Micha, about things from her past resurfacing. She doesn’t want to be the type of wife or mother that her mom was. A box from her past that comes up brings up even more of those old memories.

Ella can be a little worrisome, a little insecure, but in this book, overall, she was good. After book two and the shenanigans she pulled, I was nervous how she would be, but I was pleasantly surprised. Ella has always loved Micha, she has just never felt like she deserved someone like him.

I love this boy! His love is unfailing. He is extremely devoted, loyal to Ella, sweet, sexy and understanding. He always has Ella’s back. No matter what decisions she makes, he supports her. He loves her. As long as Micha has Ella, he’ll be just fine.

There wasn’t a ton of drama in this book like some of the others. Ella and Micha had their struggles, but overall it was a happy story.

Less frustrating than the last book, for sure! Ella and Micha’s relationship is beautiful. I love the best friends to lovers story line. Jessica Sorensen is an amazing author. She has a way with words and bringing her characters to life. Even though this is the end of Ella and Micha’s story, I look forward to reading more about them in the next Lila and Ethan book! 3 Happily-Ever-After Stars I actually enjoyed the conclusion of Ella and Micha's story, which reads like an extended epilogue, as Micha FINALLY received his much deserved HEA.

Ella certainly doesn't deserve someone as patient, understanding, and charming as Micha, but I'm still glad he gets the girl he's loved his whole life. That said, I can't give this book a higher rating than 3 stars due to the bitter taste book two left in my mouth. Ella's annoying and wishy-washy behavior from the last book 3 Happily-Ever-After Stars I actually enjoyed the conclusion of Ella and Micha's story, which reads like an extended epilogue, as Micha FINALLY received his much deserved HEA. That said, I can't give this book a higher rating than 3 stars due to the bitter taste book two left in my mouth. Ella's annoying and wishy-washy behavior from the last book pretty much ruined this couple love story for me. It's such a shame since the first book was a really good friends-to-lovers story. Still, I enjoyed the lighter, more romantic feel found in the pages of this book and was very satisfied with how things ended for this couple, especially for Micha. To say I love his character with all my heart is an understatement. He is the ONLY reason I read this book.

I think that says it all. My Micha ❤ Sighhhhh. What a perfect ending to a story I was so deeply invested in.

I fell in love with Micha over a year ago. His heart of pure solid gold is one that I will never forget. This author Jessica Sorensen is the queen of the slow delicious burn. But never fear.

Nothing is more powerful than first love 'I love you Ella May and nothing will ever change that. You can push me away - run away - and I will still love you' 'When it all comes down to it, it's you and me against the world. Always has been.'

'You and I, good or bad belong together. We make each other whole.' Does such a thing exist? 'Ella is it for me. The way I feel about her is never going to change. I will love her forever.' ' I love you, Ella May, more than life itself, and I'll continue to love you until I take my last breath - I'll love you forever.

You own my heart.' I think about everything we've gone through to get to this place and that in a few moments she will be mine forever, the girl next door who I fell in love with and gave my heart to completely Know that no matter what happens through the hurt, the sadness, the burning ache inside my chest I'll always be with you inside and out. Through hard times and helpless ones, through love, through doubt. My heart is yours forever, I'll never let go. I'll never let you sink. I'll carry your pain for you if you just let me. Well this is what Micha thought until Ella got cold feet (stood Micha up on their 1st wedding day) and wanted to have her wedding at home with their families. So where did it all go wrong for me??? Ella became extremely whiney! Look I know Ella has/had issues and she’s always needed Micha or someone to be her ‘strength’ With that being said- surely after all this time Ella has accepted her past and her mother’s death?

I felt that this was a repetition of the same fears. And Micha the sweetheart that he is, was always reassuring her and showering her with love and showing her that ‘Love’ can get them through everything. “You became my light in my dark life and you made me feel so loved that I’d forget how to breathe.” The book goes back into glimpses of the past of Ella’s and Micha’s childhood and how their relationship built from being friends- to more. What I Loved: Micha Scott!! This is one guy who is worthy of being a book boyfriend. Even though this book did not blow me away I will always have a special place on my favourite shelf for this series and a place in my heart for Micha Scott! 5 Healing stars I have been in love with Micha-Scott from the very beginning he is loyal, loving and a beautiful character.

The story This starts where Lila and Ethans book ends, they all travel back home to have their wedding back with their family, they go back down memory lane you will see moments of their past from the age of four and meeting each other and Ella letting Micha into her life.

Then to that dark night where Ella ran away there's lots of past and present which she creates a picture of their relationship. I do love friends to lovers stories being that I find them to flow and grow into something special they know each other, they just need to learn to love each other rather than be friends and they pretty much have dealt with that so this really is a delicious end to their journey and will they get married? Will Ella let go of her security's? My thoughts I do feel that Ella is still very clingy and needy towards Micha but I did see her strength start to grow and she is starting to let her past go. Micha is the perfect boyfriend he dotes, idolises and protects Ella he really is her family he has been through everything every step of the way with her and well he has done nothing wrong, in my opinion he is PERFECT, he's not an Alpha but he still is a gorgeous manly strong character and I will miss him now it's ended. This is a short read but I grabbed it and couldn't put it down and Jessica's writing is once again easy and flows well. A perfect end to a beautiful story that will forever be in my heart.

I know that you’ll walk up that aisle that Lila’s going to make you walk up, say your vows, kiss me, and then we’ll have our happy, sad, sometimes good, sometimes bad, crazy, bumpy, intense, worth-the-journey ever after.” Well.we finally got the final part of Micha and Ella’s story. It’s the last piece of the puzzle towards their happily ever after. It was quite a ride and the ending is really satisfying and sweet.

I was soooo exited to read this story but I didn’t love it as much as the previous books.

I found the first half of the book quite boring. The story is quite slow and nothing major happens.

Not that I needed something to happen but the end of the previous book ( The Temptation of Lila and Ethan) left me quite anxious to read this one.and I feel a little disappointed. At the end of the previous book we get a glimpse of what will happen at this one. And quite frankly I was expecting some drama or some development or SOMETHING.

But then.the problems they are facing are the same- Ella is still struggling to accept the idea of a future and normal life with Micha. AND he is still amazing as before (no complaints here)! ““I love you.” My voice softens. “And no matter what happens, with you or me— with us— I’m always going to love you.”” The good thing is that the story picks up after the first half and at the end I enjoyed it.

I honestly don’t think there was a need for this book.BUT I am a sucker for a sweet HEA so I was okay with it! Groan.a very mediocre finale in what before was one of my fav series. I condensed my thoughts into a simple rhyme:( Ella and Micha sitting in a tree Ella freaks out and wants to flee She leaves him at the altar, crazy bitch Foresee my Kindle landing in a ditch Can't rhyme no more.

Bitch still crazy and she keeps talking about how crazy she is, and how she wants to run away, and how she isn't good enough for Micha and how crazy she is and how crazy she is and how crazy she is. Is there something wrong with novellas or actual epilogues that are more than 2 pages? I would not recommend this book. I know it was set up in the Lila/Ethan book but just read some spoilers and call it a day.

My love for Jessica Sorensen’s books really started after I read The Secret of Ella and Micha. Now I know that a lot of people prefer the darker side of Callie and Kayden’s books (The Coincidence series) but make no mistake. This series has just as much darkness and just as much hopelessness as the other, but it’s just done in a more subdued and less harsh way.

That doesn’t make it less amazing or poignant. To me, it’s even more special. If you’ve read the others, then you know about their ups and downs. There were many questions still left unanswered in The Forever of Ella and Micha and a very large thread was left hanging at the end of Lila and Ethan’s book. This book starts directly after that so I can’t stress enough the importance of reading Lila and Ethan’s book as well. Ella’s character has always captivated me.

She has depression and anxiety, two of the most difficult problems you could have in a character. Reading from a depressed person’s POV can be very, very hard and tiring. Readers will often get frustrated because they don’t see eye-to-eye with the character. After all, they are depressed and their thinking changes and differs with normal people.

But Jessica Sorensen strikes a perfect balance. Ella is damn dark and hopeless when she wants to be and nothing Micha can do can save her, but that’s also what makes this romance so damn compelling. Micha will do absolutely anything to take care of her and that’s what I love about this series. Despite how hopeless or bleak life can get for the both of these characters, they have each other.

And that’s enough. It’s more than enough. Micha is irresistibly sexy in this novel. His horniness just never really ceases even when he is satisfied. I love how he constantly compliments Ella, because she needs that.

She needs someone to help her remember that she isn’t tainted or should feel guilty about what happened to her mother. Readers will learn more about Ella’s mother in this story. It gets dark before it can get any brighter but I think it’s necessary. The journal that Ella gets helps her recovers and at the same time, it also helps her remember her mother in a not so bleak way.

Furthermore, Sorensen ties up the threads concerning Ella’s father with the journal as well. What started out as bad actually turns out to be something really sweet and heartwarming for all the characters in this book. THE EVER AFTER OF ELLA AND MICHA really is the perfect ending to it all. Will you expect some tears?

I would say yes. But not all of it is the heartbreaking kind. There are tears of happiness as well. Some moments are the sweetest, most beautiful things you will ever read and I’m happy I got to experience them in this book. I’ve become so invested in these characters that seeing them achieve their happiness just puts a smile on my face.

As I said, this book is absolute perfection. Sorensen delivers on all counts, simply making her my favourite author of this year.

Lila and Ethan will be getting another story told, this time in the form of a freebie. Thank you to Jessica for doing this.

I’m looking forward to reading more of my favourite gang. She knows she can be happy, but she just has to realize it is there waiting for her, waiting for her to finally take it. This is the journey of Micha & El We've finally come to the conclusion of Ella & Micha’s story. When Ella’s past and fears capture her once again, Micha is left wondering where his girl is this time. But this wasn't just any ordinary day, this was supposed to be their wedding day.

Ella has begun to attempt to live a normal life, to experience life, to escape depression. She knows she can be happy, but she just has to realize it is there waiting for her, waiting for her to finally take it.

This is the journey of Micha & Ella, finally reaching that point that was destined all those years ago when he first saw that little girl that never smiled. That same girl he knew he would spend the rest of his life trying to make smile. “She looks like she’s going to cry, but she looks like that almost every time I see her. She’s got hair that’s the same color as our red mailbox and every time I talk to her, her eyes remind me of leaves. Her name is Ella and she always has tears in her eyes.” Ella knows that she loves Micha and that he is her future but she is haunted by her own fears. Will she end up like her mother? Will she slowly destroy Micha?

Will she live or will she allow herself to drown? This is just not the conclusion to their love story, this is Ella finally getting to a place where she can embrace the happiness she has and she can know that not every day is going to be easy.

Knowing that, and still finding the worth in making it to the next day, living through the bad to get to the good. Micha is the only person who fought for her, who was willing to give up everything to make her see. “It makes my heart thump in excitement and terror because I think it’s time to let go of the dark things that haunt my past, let things go that I might not want to, so I can move forward into a future with a simple fence, juice box and a toy car.” This is the journey of a girl who found a reason to go on and the boy that gave it to her.

Ella

This one actually started off pretty slow for me. I have grown a little tired of the Ella over the series and was ready for her to finally put forth a decent effort into attempting to gain control over her depression.

What made this worthwhile for me was Micha Scott. The duo point of views, the flashbacks, not only to their teens – but to the time they first became friends. From the first kiss, the first I love you and finally committing to their future. There is absolutely no doubt that for me, Micha made this series for me. My heart broke for Ella in book one, but I was ready for her to get to a better place, at a far greater speed than she did. Jessica Sorensen always does an amazing job of capturing the brutal emotions of her characters. Giving us a stark reminder that not all fairy tales are perfect.

But imperfect can create just as beautiful of an ending as any.ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for honest review. This is the fourth book in The Secret series, however, this review is fairly spoiler free. Read at your own risk.

I think Ella and Micha’s story is my favorite out of all Jessica Sorensen’s beautifully broken couples. Maybe it was because they were the first one of hers I read. Maybe it’s because I’m in love with the whole boy next door who has been in love with the girl for forever. Maybe it’s because I love that Micha is a musician and reminds me of my ultimate book boyfriend Kellan Kyle.

Maybe it’s because Micha says the sweetest things out of all her heroes (back to the whole musician/songwriter thing). Maybe it’s because they have a thing for street racing like I do. Or maybe, just maybe, it’s because I really think it’s her best one. “Even though I love her no matter what – runner, Stepford wife, or crazy and impulsive – my heart grows more in love with her each day, for the person she was, is, and the people we are together as a couple. Soon to be husband and wife. I pray to God we get to that place.

Deep down I know we will; it’s just that I’ll feel so much better once she says ‘I do’.” When I first read that this book was happening, I wasn’t too excited. I thought that it was dragging out their story and that their story already had its perfect ending in The Forever of Ella and Micha. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I can’t believe I didn’t want this book. It just solidified my resolve that Ella and Micha’s story is my favorite.

There were so many more stories that were told and closed that I didn’t even realize needed to be tied up. There were lots of surprise memories that we had never seen from them that made me swoon, laugh, tear up, hurt, and fall more in love with the two of them.

Jessica Sorensen has been holding out on us. How is it possible that she gave me everything I never thought I needed from Ella and Micha’s story without me even asking for it? “Are you sure you want this for the rest of your life?” “More than anything, Ella May. I’ve known that since the day we met.” “You’ve known you wanted the crazy girl next door to be your wife since you were four?” “Maybe not as a wife, but I knew from the moment I saw you that I wanted you in my life forever.” Ella is in a weird mental state throughout most of this book. She’s panicking over marrying Micha, but at the same time she knows she wants to marry Micha just as badly as he wants to marry her. She doesn’t try to run, which is a relief.

I was getting tired of that routine. She does learn to turn to Micha when she has problems. Which I think is a huge step in her development as a person. She has learned that Micha will always be with her, and that running doesn’t solve anything. We see her battle with her depression, something she gets from her mom. And I was so proud of the way she truly becomes herself in this book. With Micha by her side, of course.

“From the day Micha begged me to climb over the fence for the very first time, we’ve been inseparable, except for the time I ran away to college. He took care of me. He showed me what love was. And I think deep down, even though I couldn’t’ admit it a couple of years ago, I secretly hoped he’d be in my life forever – that I’d end up with him.” Micha has to be one of my favorite book boyfriends ever. He’s strong and everything Ella needs him to be even when she doesn’t know it, no questions asked. In this book, I almost forgot about all his past problems, too. It’s because he knows that the only person he really needs in his life is Ella.

Micha makes my heart melt with his undying love and devotion for Ella. And in this book, we get to see that he really has loved her for forever. It was incredibly touching. He’s ready to move on to the next phase of his relationship with Ella, and he doesn’t mind if he has to hold her hand to get her there.

He’s so thoughtful and soulful. His song writing abilities and sentimentality had me wanting to cry.

I’m in love with the way he loves and makes love to Ella. Those are some steamy scenes. He’s imperfectly perfect, just like most Jessica Sorensen characters are.

“Sensing my panic, Micha quickly wraps his arms around me. The second I’m in his arms, I feel better, lighter.

He hugs me as I breathe. I bury my face in his chest and he supports my weight like he always does. Always.” If there’s one reason to read this book, it’s really to see the wedding. It was nothing like I expected, but so perfectly them. If I was capable of crying, I would have been bawling. I did try to make myself cry.

It didn’t work, unfortunately. But it was all incredible, the place, the uniqueness, and the vows. Oh god, all that worrying and Ella pulled it off perfectly. And of course, we know that Micha has a way of making me die just by talking (or doing anything else with that mouth or perfect body of his hehe).

I couldn’t imagine not ending the series like this. Seriously, if you only read one more Jessica Sorensen book (which is a terrible idea by the way, read them all) then read this one. It showcases the power of her writing and the power of love the best. “Know that no matter what happens Through the hurt, the sadness, the burning ache inside my chest I’ll always be with you, inside and out Through the hard times and the helpless ones, through love, through doubt My heart is your forever, I’ll never let go. I’ll never let you sink. I’ll carry your pain if you just let me.

God, please just let me.” See full review here. This is the fourth installment of The Secret series by Jessica Sorensen.

But things between Ella and Micha rarely go as they are supposed to. Ella and Micha have known each other since they were small kids. They were next door neighbors. Ella moved in and Micha was immediately drawn to her. She was the shy kid next door and Micha just wanted to make her smile. Little did he know that she would become his everything.

Micha was no stranger to pain. His father abandoned his family when he was very young. But Ella dealt with pain on a daily basis. Her father was a raging alcoholic and her mother had Bipolar disorder and committed suicide. Ella was forced to grow up entirely too early. This childhood left a huge scar on Ella's heart.

As she and Micha begin searching for their happy ending, she can't help but worry that she will end up just like her mother. Ella loves Mich with all of her heart, but she questions if this love will be enough.

While worrying about what the future holds, Ella gets a rare and precious gift from the past. It explains many things but also leads to more questions. Ella wants to do what she always does, run. But Micha knows her all too well.

He loves her more than ever and he is bound and determined to marry her one way or another. Sometimes to move forward, you have to go back to the beginning. This book left me feeling warm and fuzzy. Like a snuggle on a cold winters day. What I loved.

It wrapped up nicely, it was just the right amount of warm and fuzzy, it was consistent and true to the characters, the dialogue was as amazing as always, some significant questions were answered and of course.SWOON. What I didn't like so much. The fourth book in a romance series is really hard. You have to make it new and interesting. This book just felt like more of the same. I wanted to read it and I definitely enjoyed it, but it got a little boring in parts.

Even with that, I would give this 4+ stars. Not my favorite in the series, but still quite good. Others seemed to have really liked this one. They are probably the ones who enjoy to see the end of the story more than the angst-filled beginning. Maybe I am odd that way, but take it as you will.

I would still highly recommend you read this one if you are reading the series. 3 to 3.5 Stars! With Ever After we are getting a continuation of that, a bonus if you like the couple. However, for me, it was more of the same thus why I'm only rating it three stars. We learn some new things about Ella mostly and see Micha give her unconditional love as always but nothing really earth-shifting happens. It their same, complicated but beautiful love growing roots.

Ella does go through some changes in the book after receiving her Mother's journal which is monumental for her and satifying for the reader. Ever After did give me one of my most favorite moments between Ella and Micha, their wedding vows. It was written flawlessly and easy to read.

It's a nice, simple ending for a couple whom I've adored since The Secret. What I love the most about this series is how the author built up the romance since the beginning. If you've read any of my other reviews you might know that I'm absolutely against 'instant-out nowhere' love at first sight. I enjoyed the 'flashbacks' and how everything fell into place. I was kind of annoyed with Ella sometimes with all the insecurities and too many panic attacks.

Although, she has always been an emotional roller coaster since the first book so you may as well get used to it. FI.NA.LLY: “You became my light in my dark life and you made me feel so loved that I’d forget how to breathe. You were the only one who could make me laugh, smile, have fun, not give up. You were always there for me and somehow, through the crazy, intense years, you fought your way into my soul and ended up becoming my everything.' Oh my dearest Micha Scott.sigh.

He's so heartbreakingly perfect I can't even begin to describe it. A perfectly imperfect ever after, just how I like em'. Sorensen NEVER disappoints. I'm just sad there will be no more Micha and his amazing music references.sobs. Not much to say about this thing of beauty! Thank You Jessica Sorensen for giving Micha and Ella a beautiful journey with a sweet conclusion. Ella has always been on the verge of running and on the edge of darkness.Micha has been her anchor since she was 4 years old.

I have never read male character so pure, so patient and so perfectly matched to his other half. This boy/man is perfection. He is truly beautiful inside out and when he is with Ella she is whole.she is light!

I appreciate thia author using flashbacks from their life together to enforce the importance of one another in each others lives. Even reading the first two books, this had extras that made them so much more special! I was holding my breath until the final page in hopes that these two would get their forever as no 2 characters deserve it more! Micha and his pretty girl will always have a special place in my book heart! I'm just annoyed. This book didn't click with me.Don't get me wrong,I LOVED the first two books in this series. But nothing was really happening here at all!The same thing was going on and on-Ella freaked out,Micha comforted her,Ella freaked and he was by her side.I understand Ella has issues with her past but she was a bit too whiny here for me.

Micha was amazing as usual! That guy is just fabulous! He'll always be in my list of fantastic book boyfriends! Anyone who knows me knows how almost obsessed I am when it comes to stories about Ella and Micha. Finally getting the chance to sit down and read this made me beyond happy and just like the other stories before it, this one does not disappoint. I most enjoyed seeing everything though Micha's eyes because the way he describes the changes he sees in Ella, I swear he was pulling a lot of it from my head.

Now on to finishing Lila and Ethan for me, gotta see my other couple end up happy too! We've followed Ella from the beginning as someone who had become a shell of her former self. In forever we watch as she battles her demons and tries to move forward. In this final chapter of the series we see a remarkable evolution. The progress is obvious as we see her handle situations she normally would have ran from.

Is she 100% better, absolutely not but this time she has better control on things. There is definite growth and through it all there's been one constant Micha. He knows exactly when to step up and when not press the issues. He truly is her other half and together they make each other whole.

I'm sad to see this end but the journey has been a been a fun one. A satisfying ending to a worthy series!
