Mass Effect 2 Dlc Cerberus Network Cracking

So, after getting an application load error, and finding a controller mod on nexusmods, I decided to do a fresh reinstall of Mass Effect. To a different email? (when logging into cerberus network) because iirc i had something like that when i ffed up the cerberus/DLC on 2 different email addresses. Sometimes when I boot the game up I can just load my save and play fine but every now and then I'll do the same thing and I'll get the dang Cerberus Network saying I have to log into my account and authenticate my DLC. Then I have to turn on my internet and let it do it's thing so I can actually play.

Since the mid 90s there are moles in high places leaking all that shit. In theory, each and everyone who has physical contact with the final 'gold' copy can leak it. Of course they don't upload it to torrent sites themselves, this is where the so-called 'carriers' com into play - the 'warez-groups'. They act like the middlemen and take the credit for the leaks ('Brought to you by Fairlight' and so forth).

The original source is often some unhappy employee. At least that's my guest, who else could it be? @atomicdumpling said: ' Since the mid 90s there are moles in high places leaking all that shit.

Thats the real difference between PC and Console piracy.

As soon as you connect your xbox 360 to live you're pretty much screwed. Microsoft invented the modern computer and have probably been fighting piracy the longest of any IT based company.

They have R&D departments for this stuff, they know exactly what you're doing and have methods to brick your xbox from afar by the million. If you're pirating a PC game, they can probably pinpoint you if they wished, but theres no point as you cannot reprimand the individual. As an advocate of the PC it pains me to say, but this is one of the reasons that the console will always be the more successful platform. @LindLTaylor said: ' @MrBubbles said: ' @GamingReligion said: ' I admit, I watched a bit of a live stream of it last night.

Couldn't resist. I'm not really familiar with piracy at all, but it is really fast. Eh, who knows, seems to happen for everything.

All I know is I'll be buying my copy. 'I see that gaming is your religion, but is Haze the shit? Nice reference to a very bad game that I totally forgot about. I wonder if Mr. Softy will start bricking Xboxes again when ME2 rolls out next week? 'It wouldn't matter since ME2 is mostly a SP experience.

Im pretty sure they save those for the big MP releases when a banning from live can have the most impact on new xbox sales for people grabbing one up to play the new big MP release, eg: MW2. They dont do it just to ban people, they do it at a time when they get the most benefit, when more people will run out and buy a new console instead of wait for the fix, which revolves around MP releases. PS: Piracy is bad, mmmkay? @SammydesinasNL said: ' @Nasar7 said: ' @Diamond: Actually its just a software mod, not hardware mod, that gets the 360 to play burnt discs. After that, which is extremely easy to do or you can just pay someone to do, all you have to do is download, burn, and play.

'This is what I was trying to point out aswell. The hardware can be modified, but this is a guaranteed ban whereas 'flashing' the software, is ban-safe. The games only have to be stealth checked. 'Most (if not all) 360 pirates have 'flashed' their 360's and it is far from 'ban-safe' as proven by the millions banned, I'm not sure if there even is a hardware mod for 360. The only reason that PS3 piracy is not as common is not because Sony did some Miracle, its that the game files are for one, fucking huge since developers dont take time to compress shit and since they are so big, that requires reading and ripping off a blu ray then hoping someone has a blu ray burner and the discs to spare which today is not cheap. Same was true for CDs all those years ago, back in 1993, piracy on CDs was not a big thing but then when CDs got super cheap to burn, it became a problem. Same thing with DVDs, not much piracy in 1997, but damn, today, different story. We will see the same thing happen in a few years, maybe longer since Blu Rays are not catching fire like DVDs did.

But this kind of stuff led to Nintendo using catridges and those stupid small discs on the GameCube. My real question is how do these games get out before release date? Is someone on the inside stealing a disc and giving it to friend to rip? Guys, virtually every single 360 game leaks a week in advance. There's no 'cracking' to it-they get the disc, they get the image, they stealth patch it, and that's that. Works on every game and there are no compatibility issues whatsoever. It says a lot that modding is so simple on the 360 (and readily available), yet the console and its games still outsell the PS3 (which hasn't been hacked for modding just yet, but I think it's only a matter of time before someone takes the initiative).

The infrastructure of the system that makes it difficult to develop for also makes it difficult to navigate, so I'm sure that's a contributing factor. Throw in the fact that the Blu-ray discs are so large that it makes distribution a hassle when most of the games you would pirate are available on 360 for far less space and are of comparable (and oftentimes superior) quality. I don't mind people playing games early (I admit that I do on big releases) so long as they don't go around posting spoilers and such. I've long sold my PS3 (after MGS4 came out and I beat it), played Uncharted 2 at a friend's house, and haven't regretted it whatsoever. If GT5 turns out to be a bit more impressive than I'm expecting, I may pick one back up again now that the prices are down, but who knows. Anyone else worried that piracy is getting so fast nowadays?

It seems as though there's a bunch of people working in positions that get early access whose intentions aren't honorable at all. Thankfully piracy isn't easy for the Xbox 360 so chances are there's still more piracy on the PC (.sigh.) even though it's not yet cracked for that. 'These days, the 360 versions get leaked before the PC versions. If you ever end up working in an office with people who are into games, you'll find that modded 360s and pirated games are more common than you might think. And its likely only going to get worse.

Cerberus Network Not Working

So, after getting an application load error, and finding a controller mod on nexusmods, I decided to do a fresh reinstall of Mass Effect 2. Unfortunately, I ran into a rather bizarre problem. You see, the executables to install Overlord, the Normandy Crash Site, Zaeed, Kasumi, and the Firewalker missions apparently fail to install their files. During installation, they also display the status text for the Incisor DLC (see for reference).

This has happened multiple times despite my doing a fresh download of the DLCs in question. Any advice or recommendations?
